integrating the Collabora office suite and with the OnlyOffice
suite.</font></p>

to be at an early stage. It's a hostile fork of Onlyoffice
where they have removed the licence changes to the AGPL that
make it non-free, and the Russian owners are not happy. So
legally dubious; we'll see what happens. Sponsored by

work on a network based version of their product, which has the
Collabora folks unhappy as they're the main contributor to
LibreOffice.</font></p>

<p><font face="Tomson Talks">The Document Foundation responded by
"firing" the Collabora people that worked there (this might be
slightly inaccurate, there are articles out there about it).</font></p>
<p><font face="Tomson Talks">Not looking good for either of them,
really. LibreOffice has the recognition and distribution in
repos, but no one is left to develop the online version.
Collabora has the dev skills but they build upon LibreOffice.</font></p>
<p><font face="Tomson Talks">I hope this gets settled. Document
Foundation had agreed to not release an online version so as to
not step on Collabora's toes.</font></p>
