How well does it support collaboration? <a href="https://nextcloud.com/office/">https://nextcloud.com/office/</a><br></div><div><br></div><div>Onlyoffice is a Russian thing. It is advertised as open source AGPL, but there are additional terms added to the AGPL licence that prohibit you from distributed modified copies of the software, so it's actually nonfree. <a href="https://www.onlyoffice.com/">https://www.onlyoffice.com/</a><br></div><div><br></div><div>There are a number of European projects to create a FOSS equivalent to the Microsoft Office cloud product, with no reliance on American servers. It's a political thing.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Here's one in an early roll-out stage (wide rollout is 2nd quarter 2026). Although Reddit claims this just a nextcloud reskin run by some guy in the Hague. And where is the source?<br></div><div><a href="https://office.eu/">https://office.eu/</a></div><div><br></div><div>Another is Euro Office, which seems to be at an early stage. It's a hostile fork of Onlyoffice where they have removed the licence changes to the AGPL that make it non-free, and the Russian owners are not happy. So legally dubious; we'll see what happens.
