<div dir="ltr"><div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">Based on previous discussions in this group, I am posting my latest switching of ISPs.</div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default"><br></div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">I had 100/30 Cable internet, with Carry Tel.</div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">It worked well, but the price increased to $55 plus tax (and that $2 buried in fine print).</div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">No modem rental fees. </div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default"><br></div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">Last week a guy knocked on my door and said he sells Koodo Cable.</div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">As with all door to door sales, I was about to say no, thanks. </div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">He said it is $40 for 2 years, then goes up to $45, and no modem rental. Same speed of 100/30.</div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default"><br></div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">Told him to come back in half an hour while I research. </div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">On the web site, Koodo had $55, but $45 if you have a phone plan with them. </div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">When the guy came back, I told him that, and he said that they have a special promo and I don&#39;t need the phone plan to be with Koodo.</div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default"><br></div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">So that is a $15 per month savings for 2 years, and $10 afterwards. </div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default"><br></div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">I signed up with him on the tablet that he has.</div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">Entering the credit card was NOT on his tablet.</div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">Rather they email a link, and I enter the info on my phone or laptop.</div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default"><br></div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">They mailed a box that had 2 boxes in it: a cable modem, and a WiFi router.</div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">That is convenient, since I don&#39;t have to fiddle with all-in-one units to disable its WiFi and such. </div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default"><br></div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">The plan was activated yesterday, and speed test to a Rogers Kitchener server shows 98/29 as the actual. </div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">Pretty close to the nominal.</div><br clear="all"></div><div style="font-size:small" class="gmail_default">There are no referral codes or anything like that, but I have the guy&#39;s phone number if someone wants to call and try. </div><br><span class="gmail_signature_prefix">-- </span><br><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature">Khalid M. Baheyeldin<br><br></div></div>
