<div dir="ltr"><div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif" class="gmail_default">Without mentioning any of these conversations here o KWLUG or where I live in Waterloo, I will attempt a tele or vid call to Andre and chat him up a bit to get a feel for his enterprise. <br><br></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif" class="gmail_default">I am in Sask in 3 weeks time for a goodly while, so will have ample time to connect with him and give some feedback here, assuming of course, he agrees to speak to me.</div><br></div><div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif" class="gmail_default">If I am successful in speaking with him, I will bring up that 32-page book and have a convo about it.<br></div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif" class="gmail_default">I really do feeli that his heart is in the right place and he is embracing tech du jour in a major way, seemingly oblivious to how that content is being received by the readers of the book and the content of his website.</div><br><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif" class="gmail_default">My gut says, he's a guy my age who's taken a deep dive into Linux and his intentions are honest about wanting to spread the word out there, he might be a bit unaware as to how AT-slop would be received.</div><div style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif" class="gmail_default">It reminds me of my first visits to KWLUG IRL many moons ago when like a bull in a china shop, I went to local hospitals, cop shops and even Canada Computers to get them to put up a ghetto flyer a talentless me made up on the spot.
