I refuse to create an account on the manufacturer's web site to configure and manage the router. was straightforward:</div><div style="font-size:small;" class="qt-gmail_default">1. Download a
signed OpenWRT image from Cudy's Google Drive.</div><div style="font-size:small;" class="qt-gmail_default">2. Flash the
router with that.</div><div style="font-size:small;" class="qt-gmail_default">3. Download
the latest OpenWRT image for this specific router.</div><div style="font-size:small;" class="qt-gmail_default">4. Flash it
as a sysupgrade image from the LuCI menus.</div><div><br></div><div><div style="font-size:small;" class="qt-gmail_default">That is
it. </div></div><div><br></div><div><div style="font-size:small;" class="qt-gmail_default">There are
other brands that support plain OpenWRT, such as GL.inet,
