Ironically, much of the source data will be public. But there could be
backlash/concerns if people find out that the mashup itself is on the
Internet. It's sort of like what happens when you go here for the
first time:

All that data is public. Seeing it all in one place is freaky.

This is worthwhile information. Now I am glad I put my ignorant
question to the list. (Actually, I was glad as soon as Richard gave me
his lightning quick reply. Fortunately you can be simultaneously glad
and embarrassed.)

That's another good suggestion. My users are already familiar with
Google Earth, so this might be a good way to go.
