I’ve been looking for something similar, but for technical documents, mostly pdf. high resolution display and good performance when panning/zooming is driving me toward a refurb full-size iPad 3 or better and one of those wifi dock things (Kingston mobilite) for storage.

I love my old Kobo, but for this kind of application it’s… rather poor.
