I do some reading on an very old 10 inch Android tablet. It has a variant
of OmniROM on it which allowed upgrades to more recent versions.
On that tablet, I use Aldiko, which is in the Play Store and can read all
the formats that I tried (mainly PDF, but it supports other formats).
Too bad that Google started requiring a subset of the instruction set
(neo?) that is absent in this tablet. That causes some apps (Maps, Play
Services) to just abort. For the apps I care about, installing an older
version solves this issue, but eventually this will be an untenable
situation.
If others have any recommendations for hackable 10 inch Android tablets, I
will need one in the near to mid term future.
