Well, at least it was just a VM.

But I'm curious:  Is this the _first_ time PR-centric, open source
community-manipulating, tax-evading, proprietary-license-special-pleading,
understaffed and overpromising enterprise Canonical, Ltd. has gravely
disappointed you?

(Devuan's pretty good, or Debian if you don't mind you-know-what.  Or
Alpine Linux.  Or Artix.  Or Manjaro.  However, "horses for courses";
«à chacun son goût»; what to recommend depends greatly on your
predilections.)
