I've had the cyberpower unit you linked from staples for a number of years (Possibly an earlier revision, but specs and picture look identical). I've been mostly happy with it. It works with NUT as a usbhid device. I'm not sure if there are more advanced tools available, like with APC units.

My only complaint is that it never told me the battery was shot. Even a momentary brown-out would immediately shut off the device, and I'd have to reboot everything. Self-tests passed, and the display stated I had about 45 minutes of runtime. It just wasn't actually working anymore.

Replacement batteries solved the issue, but I wish it had some sort of notice, even if just on the built-in display.
