Interesting... opposite of my experience.

You won't believe the extent I went to save money.
     - oven, stove, toaster -- 7pm-7am, weekend
     - frying pan, cooking pot, wok -- side-burner of BBQ
     - microwave -- never "on-peak"
     - washer, dryer, power tools -- weekend
     - kettle -- 7pm-7am, weekend, or side-burner of BBQ
     - AC -- 7pm-7am, weekend
Still, Tiered was cheaper and more convenient.
