I got a used, new to me, Lenovo laptop, and was copying the
old laptop's disk to the new one by booting each from a live Xubuntu
image, then copying over Ethernet, using nc and dd.
After the copying was complete, Firefox froze on the target machine.
Then, I trying pressing Ctrl-Alt-F1 to get to a terminal.
I found endless errors scrolling, about squashfs, unable to read, etc.
When I tried to press Ctrl-C, and other combinations on Ctrl, Alt, ...etc,
nothing worked. Even pressing the power button does not work.
Any other options here, aside fro letting the battery drain out, which may
be
after several hours?
