Others have already mentioned the reasons from voip.ms point of view why
they would take this position.  But I want to add, you are seriously
misunderstanding what a 3rd party VPN brings to the table.

You are adding a 3rd party that inserts itself between you and the
merchant.  That doesn't add any kind of security, but rather, another
link, or point of failure.
