[kwlug-disc] Manual IP on Ethernet is unstable ...

Any chance it's a poor electrical connection?  A bad wire, bad crimp, a
bent socket pin, a solder joint? I've hat that in the past with an old
laptiop. When I wanted a high-speed transfer, I'd have to hold the cable in
a certain way.
