I keep alternating between CarryTel and Vmedia.
When one hikes up the prices, I switch to the other.
And then in a couple of years, switch back if the current one hikes them up.

The 100/30 I am on now is $45 plus tax (Vmedia).
It was $55 with CarryTel until a few months ago.
When I called to cancel they offered to upsell me (more speed, same price,
but for a limited period [maybe a year?]).

And I am in Westvale too (40+ year subdivision). I had two such incidents
over
the years, and they string a temporary cable during winter and come fix the
box in the spring. Been working well for many years.

Occasionally, I see such temporary cables in the neighbourhood. The boxes
are often ajar and must have deteriorated significantly from the moisture,
snow
and salt.
