Funny that you resurrected this thread as it was top of mind with me. See,
I had a bit of a shocker on my last Waterloo/North/Hydro bill for July, see

My bill is June was 98 bucks, my bill in July was $210!

This July bill is for a billing period of JUN 16 - JUL 16 and I know there
were some hot days.
I am not sure what's up with that as the house was empty for most of the
billing period as my daughter and I travelled wherever.
The yard people use the house power for their weed whackers, but that is
superlow use, relatively speaking.
It's possible that the AC was set aggressively low in error, not sure, as
we were rarely around.
Hmm.
